It's post-Y2K. Windows XP is out and Pop Punk and Nu Metal bands are at their peak. Limewire has turned the music industry on its head giving listeners unprecedented access to all varieties of music, whilst paving new ways for independent artists to take control into their own hands. Marking a return to the intricate, high fidelity production quality of the early 2000s, Tokyo based collective Dosing is pleased to announce their first collaborative mixtape entitled 'MACROdosing' featuring members of up the and coming Trap Metal group Dreaming of Screaming (SteffenYoshiki, DOT.KAI, Calumecs & Grip Fist) in collaboration with notable acts such as TYOSiN, 19XX, SKOLOR, stei & Seann Bowe. The project aims to showcase Dosing's creative versatility illustrated by emotional and pop- oriented content, bringing a variety of production styles and vocal execution to the table. Starting on a melancholic note, "Chains" paves the way for sentimental, emo-rap influenced tracks such as "In Retrospect" & "Falling Through the Cracks." The mixtape consistently becomes more hostile as time goes on, demonstrated by hard hitting rhythms and heavy vocal deliveries on tracks such as "Fire Hazard," "Run," and "Goliaths." Coming full circle, the project resolves to a clean and emotional finish with the emo-rap anthem "Sigh." With a run time of about 30 minutes featuring 11 new tracks, this project can be categorized as a healthy 'macrodose' of music with a microdose of 2000's nostalgia for you to ingest.
