Overcoming initial hesitation, she confirms her love, leading to a period of cherished, simple connection waiting by the phone for their daily, long chats.

However, as graduation nears, the narrative takes a sharp, painful turn. The familiar voice suddenly vanishes, the connection goes dead, and fear consumes her.
