The first solo album of Akihisa Yamaguchi "Here I Am" is a collaboration album with guest singer J.Lamotta Suzume who is originally from Tel Aviv and currently based in Berlin.Her smoky voices and his melancholic melodies beautifully harmonize with each other in the 8 songs which are composed, arranged, produced by Akihisa himself. He also played the guitar, the piano, and the synthesiser in the recordings. The lyrics were composed in collaboration with a Berlin-based translator.The music video of the title track "Here I Am" was filmed in a suburb in Berlin and has been high esteemed.

  • Akihisa Yamaguchi

    Born in 1977 in Uji City, Kyoto prefecture. He is an artist currently living in Tokyo. As a musician, he is working on a variety of video, space, and stage music. He is also active as a video creator, producing in a wide range of fields including video exhibitions, music videos, and documentary production. He released his first solo album "Here I am" in 2018 welcoming the artist, "J. Lamotta Suzume" as a guest singer who lives in Berlin. In 2019, he held a video exhibition "Traveling Sound Touch". In 2020, he started a new band "Lacuna" with Claire Natirbov in Tokyo. In 2022, "Morning composition," a compilation of morning composition activities, is currently available in four album titles.
