On the roof, close to the sky

I wrote the poem that became the lyrics for this song back when I was still in junior high, during a time when I just couldn't stop wanting to go somewhere - anywhere. Since it turned into a song, I've been singing it for so many years now. Back then, I dreamed of traveling and seeing the world, and now as an adult, I actually make my living doing music while living on the road. I really feel like the emotions I had back then have shaped the life I'm living today.
This recording is one of my favorites - it came to life with the help of some wonderful musicians I met years ago who added their beautiful performances to it. I hope you'll give it a listen.
