Hypnotherapy

Suburban Marine Life

I don't feel anything

I don't feel anything

Even when I put myself

On your bed

I can't remember how to love me

I don't feel anything

Maybe I should stop

Living vicariously

But love doesn't satiate me

I just go back to feeling

Nothing

So I hypnotize myself

Every night

I float in lighter thoughts

And simpler times

My tapestry grows

As my fairy lights pollinate

These long-lost flowers

And in this time

At least in my mind

The earth and I are brought

Back to life

How do you sleep at night

When everything is

Clouding your mind?

We're barely surviving while

Everything is dying

Global warming, the patriarchy

My anxiety

Which one will kill me first?

I can't escape this all

But at least I know

An ancient recipe

To emulate hypnotherapy

In my daydreams

My apartment's a garden

And I

Pick some Chinese herbs

And blend them into a tincture

Then put in some mint chocolate

Or maybe just swallow it

Through some rose petals

Then my heart is settled

So that's

Why

I hypnotize myself

Every night

I float in lighter thoughts

And simpler times

My LED noodle looks like

The milky way if the universe

Ever wanted to doodle

And my stars align

And at least in my mind

Every planet's alive

And my body is full of life

My tapestry grows

As my fairy lights pollinate

These long-lost flowers

I don't need a therapist

I don't need love

I don't need a man

I just need to be

Hypnotized
