This EP marks the first fully self-produced release and the second under the name bud&harbor. With the participation of support keyboardist Ryo Fujimoto, elements of AOR and soul are further amplified and refined into an alternative pop/rock sound.
The past few years have brought numerous changes, including leaving their former label, drummer Yunaki Kanazaki's hiatus and return, and continuing activities with support members.
Rather than serving as a culmination of what has come before, this work represents a step into new territory and the arrival at a new creative frontier.
Artist Profile
bud&harbor
Formed in 2018, they are a three-piece band from Kyoto consisting of Jin Shimoda (Gt & Vo), Yuhei Suzuki (Ba), and Yunaki Kanazaki (Dr). Their sound is characterized by a simple yet refined approach, channeling soul, R&B, and funk through an alternative rock sensibility with AOR as a central theme. In recent years, they have been working on music production and live performances with the addition of a keyboard support member, expanding their expressive range while pursuing their own distinctive musical identity.
