Tony Uhm
Born in South Korea, Sechun Tony Uhm was raised in Germany and the United States; he now is based in Japan. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Composition from Rowan University (2010). In 2010, he provided soundtrack for a short film, which won the Best Drama at the Campus Movie Festival. As a grantee of Japanese Government Scholarship 2015, he studied in Nagoya College of Music earning a master's degree in Computer Music (2018). He provided music for the projection mapping works by the students of Daido University; they were nominated for the Tokyo International Projection Mapping Award (2017 and 2018). In 2019, he was selected as a finalist for the International Composition Competition Forme Uniche di continuità nello spazio - Luigi Nono Award. He currently pursues a doctoral degree in composition at Aichi Prefectural University of the Arts; he also serves as a part-time lecturer at the university.
