Lyric

Little black cat, come on down

One more cat waits on the ground

Side by side in the soft moonlight

Off they go into the night

Tiptoe, tiptoe, down the street

Two little cats on quiet feet

Round the corner, past the tree

What will they find? Come and see

One little cupcake, a midnight treat

Two little halves for two cats to eat

Each takes a bite, then looks at the other

With frosting on their noses, they laugh together

Tiptoe, tiptoe, down the street

Two little cats on quiet feet

Round the corner, past the tree

What will they find? Come and see

One little door in a great big tree

Who lives here? Who could it be?

Knock, knock, knock—but no one’s there

Just a blue balloon floating in the air

Tiptoe, tiptoe, home they go

Under the moon, so round and low

One cat waves, and the other waves too

“Same time tomorrow? I’ll wait for you”
