Monolith is a noise piece assembled from a continuous 90-minute recording session.
Mixer feedback, custom microphones, and percussive objects were used to generate a dense field of sound, later edited and restructured into a single long-form work.
The piece evokes images of colossal structures, strange creatures, and monumental landscapes.
