Composer Atsushi Toya Tokuya and Artistic director/choreographer Gen Horiuchis super corroboration. This album shows Toyas musical world fabricated for St. Louis Ballet, and their fantastical artisticness.

Vol. 1 Appassionato (2021)
     Act 1: Tranquility (4'54")
     Act 2 Nostalgia (7'24")
     Act 3: Rhythmic (7'49")

This ballet suite contains the essence of jazz, pop, and of course, classical music.

The first act is a fresh number that depicts the encounter between two young people in a small club in the big city at night, accompanied by fugue-style jazz.

The second act illustrates a daughter who has lost her father. Between grief and the never dying attachment to her father, she starts seeing visions of him and is filled with great joy. However, everything comes to the end. The illusion quickly disappears and she returns to the reality of sadness. This is a ballad for the recorder and piano with the orchestra.

In the third act, the power of life is intertwined with percussive orchestration and Gen Horiuchi's outstanding choreography. The second half concludes with a grand and vivid piano concerto set to a house beat.

Vol. 2 Moment (2023)
Act 1: When Happiness Blooms (6'53")
Act 2: When Darkness Erases Life (5'44")
Act 3: When Love Wins (11'04")

This ballet suite is a classically based concerto centered around harp, violin, and viola.

The motif of this work is "death,'' but even if you witness "death,'' you cannot experience it yourself. In reality, the truth is that we have to live with the thought that "death" will inevitably come at the end. "Moment'' is a desire to continue living in the "now'' with sincerity.

The first act is a violin concerto with an exciting rhythm. The oboe solo in the middle of the song reflects a sense of playfulness with a jazz-like melody. The dancers, the spirits of happiness, dressed in colorful costumes, seem to bloom with the music and the happiness of life.

In the second act, two people in love are torn apart by the arrival of an evil spirit. A young man dies as his lovers watch on. The melancholy melody played by the viola is beautifully fused with the orchestra.

In the third act, the ritual of the evil spirit and the battle with the lovers begin. In the development part, the concerto begins with a combination of violin, viola, and harp, and then a piano is added to a crazy violin solo, pushing the lovers into a predicament. However, the spirit of the flower of happiness comes and chases away the evil spirits. A blessing of joy. And yet the one girl remains in grief, having lost her lover...
