Tokyo-based DJ and producer You Liang kicks off 2026 with a fresh single on their own imprint, Isopach Records. Following a strong year establishing residencies at major venues like WOMB and ZEROTOKYO, You Liang returns to the label for its third release, marking a distinct evolution in sound.
Moving away from purely functional club tools, this track showcases a more emotive, radio-ready approach. Blending Afro-inspired textures with a crisp Dance Pop structure, the single features soulful vocals and a hypnotic hook designed for the streaming era. At just over two minutes, it delivers a concentrated burst of energy that sets the tone for You Liang's production output in the new year.
You Liang is a Singapore-born, Tokyo-based DJ and producer known for melody-driven dance music that blends house, progressive, and trance influences. Ranked among the Top 3 ZEROTOKYO Residents on Resident Advisor in 2025, they stand as the venue's sole resident specialist dedicated exclusively to Mainstage and Big Room performance. Their writing foregrounds emotional hooks, chord-led movement, and vocal-aware phrasing, an approach shaped during their early years at Keio University, where they performed as a vocalist and drummer and began composing regularly. Since 2023, they have performed over 500 shows across Asia and Europe, holding residencies at ZEROTOKYO and WOMB and appearing internationally in Korea, Spain, and Singapore. In 2025 they performed at Blend XL and the Data Transmission showcase during Amsterdam Dance Event, and were selected as a Pete Tong DJ Academy Future Talent, presented live at IMS Ibiza. They also joined the lineup for It's The Ship Singapore, Asia's largest festival at sea. Their discography includes releases on Revealed Recordings, Smash The House, Black Hole Recordings, Ascent Recordings, Pyro Records, Eightball Records, and Blanco y Negro, earning support from Don Diablo, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Cuebrick, Chester Young, and Frank Walker, with chart placements on Beatport, Traxsource, and iTunes, as well as editorial playlisting on Spotify and Apple Music. They have shared lineups with artists such as Nicky Romero, Alok, Timmy Trumpet, Oliver Heldens, DubVision, Code Black, Tita Lau, and Thomas Gold. In Japan, their performances are focused exclusively on major domestic stages, including the Keio University Mita Festival, Global Groove Fes, and headlining slots at the 1,500-capacity ZEROTOKYO and the world-renowned WOMB.
