The album Night Runner from a fictional high school girls band arrives.

A long skirt caught in the wind on a platform, waiting for the last train home. A single shooting star glimpsed under the flicker of convenience store fluorescents. Two songs that capture the urge to run, born from fleeting everyday moments.

The A-side, "Long Skirt," runs at 172 BPM - twin guitars cutting through fast, technical tapping under a huge wall of reverb, with a transparent, high female vocal in Japanese turning night-city melancholy into light.

The B-side, "Fluorescent Shooting Star," is the album's fastest anthem at 185 BPM. Twin electric guitars tear through unison melodic runs and fast cutting over a dense, layered wall of sound. A shimmering, glassy synth pops like soda bubbles above a melodic, distorted bass driving the groove, while tight hard-snare drums and a relentless 4-on-the-floor kick break into complex fills and an occasional odd-meter break. The final chorus hits the album's biggest upward key modulation - pure space-shuttle-launch energy, bittersweet and triumphant all at once.
