Hagoromo

Hagoromo is an original soundtrack album inspired by the theme of "bewitching fairy tales," exploring Japanese folktales, legends, and visions of otherworldly realms through music.

Across eight tracks, the album travels through a phantom inn existing between time and space, the mysterious people of the moon, Kuzunoha's sorrowful farewell, carp ascending toward a great waterfall, imaginary beasts competing to become the thirteenth animal of the zodiac, outcast villains, the tale of Uguisu Chōja, and finally the celestial maiden of Hagoromo.

Theremin, sounds inspired by ancient Japanese instruments, choir, shamisen, harp, electronics, and environmental ambience are woven together to create a world where nostalgia and the uncanny, beauty and unease coexist.

The journey ends with the title track, "Hagoromo," portraying a celestial maiden who leaves behind a trace of longing for the human world, yet returns to the Palace of the Moon with quiet determination. Her figure eventually disappears, leaving only the shimmer of moonlight-and the memory of something beautiful that can no longer be reached.
