An "open set" in mathematics is a collection of points that doesn't include its boundary. In other words, it's an ambiguous region where the edges aren't clearly defined.

The new song "Open Set" takes this mathematical concept and reframes it as a story about fate and free will. Is everything predetermined, or can we actually choose? The song explores this unanswerable question through ordinary, everyday scenes a room where morning coffee goes cold, a train platform where you didn't get off.
