• Toshihiro Fujita

  Electric violinist / kit drummer / composer / narrator / film director / Born in Shizuoka in 1962. He took violin lessons from age 6 for 8 years. At age 20, he studied under the late jazz drummer Motohiko Hino, then moved to the UK. For over a decade, he has been actively working as an actor and narrator, in parallel with his musical activities such as numerous sessions and recordings with musicians of various styles. After returning to Japan, he worked hard to relearn violin playing while working on video production, music production, and performance activities, and began his music production and performance activities in 2023 with this as the core. The motif of his music production is "sounds that seem to speak to nature, exquisite sounds that arise from ordinary human actions and habits, and to sense the meaningful whispers that come from all kinds of phenomena. Like the worldview of the Manyoshu." His favorite musicians and poets are Toru Takemitsu, Pink Floyd, Isao Tomita, and Shuntaro Tanikawa. His idol is Jaco Pastorius.
