Singer-songwriter and music therapist Kotoe Suzuki releases her second album, three years after her New York produced debut Kotoe.
Drawing from her life between New York, Kochi, and Tokyo, the album features original songs in Japanese, alongside covers of Milton Nascimento and Nat King Cole, and original instrumental tracks.
Kotoe Suzuki is a Tokyo-born singer-songwriter and certified music therapist whose work seamlessly blends artistry and healing. She began studying classical piano at the age of three and later pursued Music Therapy at New York University, earning board certification in both Japan and the United States. After nearly a decade in New York, she launched her artist career, developing a distinctive sound that intertwines Japanese songwriting with jazz and Brazilian influences. Her debut album Kotoe reached No. 14 on Amazon Japan's bestselling chart and drew attention from leading jazz media. Now based between Tokyo, Kochi, and New York, she collaborates with top musicians through Steelpan Records. Her music, performed in Japanese, English, and Portuguese, explores themes of identity, memory, and emotional connection, offering listeners a deeply intimate and healing experience.
