A cover song by Hiplin, selected from the works of Japanese singer-songwriter Akira Sakai, is now available for digital release.
This release is part of Hiplin's cover project, "Semi-Pop," in which he reinterprets songs by musicians who may be almost unknown to the wider public, but whose music he deeply admires and respects. For this release, Hiplin chose one song from Akira Sakai's original works and covered it through his own voice and perspective.
Originally released on YouTube, the cover has now been reworked for digital distribution. With deep respect for the original, Hiplin gently brings out the song's warmth, sincerity, and quiet sense of journey through his own interpretation.
