The theme is the passage of time. It seems simple, yet it's complex; it seems complex, yet it's simple. In the end, it all comes down to one's perspective. This piece expresses that ambiguity. As indicated in the parenthetical title, it's an homage to Michael Hedges, the acoustic guitarist who has influenced me the most.
Acoustic guitarist. I play four roles: drums, bass, guitar, and melody. My fresh performances have attracted me to overseas venues (Taiwan, Korea, the UK, Thailand, Singapore, and Australia). I signed a contract with a guitar manufacturer in Taiwan and became the first Japanese artist to tour schools four times. I have also appeared in several films as a guitarist. My film starring the renowned actor Yoichi Hayashi was selected for the Kyoto International Film Festival, where I walked the red carpet with my guitar. My famous co-stars include Rumiko Koyanagi, Yoshiyuki Osawa, Mayo Okamoto, Kotaro Oshio, Morio Agata, and Kyoji Yamamoto (Vow Wow). Originally from Hokkaido, I live in Kyoto. I worked as a researcher for 19 years while continuing my musical career. At age 42, I quit my job and became a professional guitarist, a unique career path that has seen me enter my 14th year as a professional. *Thank you for reaching 4 million views in April 2026!
