I'm Kohl.
I've written a new song titled "August Clouds Wave a Blue Hand at Me."
The song came together naturally; I was looking at the photo used for the album cover, and the words just came to mind, so I incorporated them exactly as they were.
This marks my 13th release. I recorded it using my computer's microphone.
Summer is the season when a friend of mine passed away, so it brings back painful memories. However, the main theme of the lyrics is the realization that, over time, the pain I once felt has been healed.
I use Ableton for mastering, but I struggled to settle on a specific processing approach; I was torn between aiming for high-end clarity and increased loudness versus keeping the source material relatively intact.
I truly hope this song reaches as many people as possible.
