Making History

The Cards I Play

My heart is racing

I’m feeling the tensions rise

That tickle down my spine

As curtains start to rise

Can you see

The beaming lights that

Distort your sight

Can you feel

Anticipation in motion

Hold your breath

Prepare to find yourself

And lose your mind

'Cause we’re making history

It’s meant to be

We’ll raise the roof and show

Them the taste of defeat

We’ve paid our dues

Only moving forward

I know you can

See this feel this

It’s shaking inside of you

Waves of emotions are

Reverberating as

Minutes to seconds pass

Leaving you wanting more

Now you see

You’re one with us singing

Through the songs

Now you feel

The colors rushing in

Now just

Hold your breath

Prepare to lose your mind

Once again

'Cause we’re making history

It’s meant to be

We’ll raise the roof and show

Them the taste of defeat

We’ve paid our dues

Only moving forward

I know you can

See this feel this

It’s shaking inside of you

Waves of emotions are

Reverberating as

Minutes to seconds pass

Leaving you wanting more

As one tonight

We’ll reach the heights

Above the skyline

Beneath these eyes

You’ll find the notes

Within my mind

'Cause we’re making history

It’s meant to be

We’ll raise the roof and show

Them the taste of defeat

We’ve paid our dues

Only moving forward

I know you can

See this feel this

It’s shaking inside of you
