Flip the Switch

This is the debut combo jazz album by the talented trombonist Shigetaka Ikemoto, who appeared like a comet on the Japanese jazz scene. Having previously released big band works, he now takes on the challenge with a quintet led by top players at the forefront of the scene. All songs are originals, and this ambitious work records both the acoustic and electric sides, and is composed of two discs containing each. Enjoy the unique sound that combines a hard driving feeling with a precise ensemble.
