Sakurako (Sakurako Kataoka / Born in Kobe, Japan)
A former anchor and reporter for major TV and radio networks,
Sakurako transitioned to the path of performing art after
experiencing marriage, childbirth, and a deep spiritual journey of
self-discovery.
Since 2015, she has created and performed several one-woman shows. Currently, on her YouTube channel mayutomochannel, she shares her journey of embracing herself fully, breaking free from outdated values, and living a radiant, liberated life. Through her experiences, she inspires women of her generation to live authentically and boldly.
In 2024, she hosted interactive concerts in three cities across Japan, showcasing a collection of original and candidly authentic and uplifting songs created with AI. According to participants, these unique events were a whirlwind of tears, laughter, singing, and dancing, combining a new style of entertainment with the warmth of a community. She plans to continue developing engaging and empowering projects that bring joy and connection.
Her first and only oshi obsession is the artist Kaze Fujii.

Sakurako
Sakurako (Sakurako Kataoka / Born in Kobe, Japan) Former TV and radio broadcaster for major networks in Japan. After relocating to the US in 1989, she spent 12 years delivering reports from New York to Japanese radio stations while transitioning from language school to various careers, including temp work, full-time employment, and a shift into the finance industry. Following marriage and motherhood, her journey of spiritual self-discovery led her to performance art. Since 2015, she has created and performed several one-woman shows in both New York and Japan. In 2018, she made her film debut as Keiko in the short film Keikos Hands. Currently, she shares her ongoing journey of embracing self-love, breaking free from outdated values, and living authentically through her YouTube channel, mayutomochannel. Through her candid storytelling, she inspires and supports women of her generation. In 2024, inspired by her collaboration with AI, she released a series of original empowering songs and held audience-participation concerts in three locations across Japan. These unique events, described by participants as busy with laughter, tears, singing, and dancing, combine joy and meaningful takeaways. Also it took on the role of building warm and welcoming community. She plans to continue developing innovative and entertaining projects.
