The first collaboration album by Norvik, a musician living in Hong Kong and a pianist Tatsuro Yokoyama.
This is the first collaboration album by Norvik, a musician living in Hong Kong and Tatsuro Yokoyama, a pianist and composer living in Miyazaki, Japan.
They met on SNS and it was a natural progression for them who like quiet and beautiful music to start producing music together through exchanging messages.
When composing the song, they focused on "less," meaning "something that is not full."
They sorted out English words containing "less" and based on those words, Norvik's a misty, subtle and profound sound combined with Yokoyama's minimal piano melody and static harmony.
The album based on ambient and electronics that gently embraces listeners' memories and their fragments has been completed.
Up-and-coming photographer Sho Makishima was selected for the artwork.
He expresses the album's musical landscape with his eyes that freely capture abstraction
and concreteness.
Mastering was done by Taylor Deupree (12k).
