A snowy night settles over Kanbara.
Under the glow of the moon, travelers glide along the white Tokaido road, leaving footprints that vanish into the falling snow while their sense of wonder remains.
"Slide in the Snow ~Snow on Kanbara~" is the third chapter of the Edo LOFI Tokaido Night Journey series, inspired by the famous ukiyo-e masterpiece Kanbara: Evening Snow.
Fresh snow blankets the post town.
Lantern lights flicker in the distance.
The winter road stretches quietly beneath the moonlit sky.
Though surrounded by silence, the journey feels alive.
Moving forward through the cold night air, accompanied only by the moon, the snow, and the rhythm of the road.
Dusty Boom-Bap beats blend with the delicate sounds of koto and shamisen, creating a warm yet adventurous winter atmosphere.
From Nihonbashi, through the misty mountains of Hakone, the journey now arrives in the snow-covered world of Kanbara.
Tonight, slide through the snow.
Let the moonlight guide you along the white road of the Tokaido.
Liminal Reverie is an instrumental music project centered on the theme between reality and dreams. Between day and night. After the crowds fade away. Moments where reality and dreams have not yet fully separated. Liminal Reverie turns the lingering presence, afterglow, and quiet atmosphere of those moments into sound. The project is built on two complementary musical axes: Japanese side: Edo Lofi Western side: Liminal Reverie Each explores a different world, while sharing the same sense of liminality.
