"Wando no Roots" is a rock song sung in the Tsugaru dialect of Aomori, Japan. The verses drive forward; the chorus slows and starts to walk. Tsugaru phrases are chanted as hooks, and their meaning carries the song's emotion. Japanese, English and dialect trade places line by line.
The theme is honoring what came before: rather than chasing what's new and losing sight of the ground beneath your feet, turn back toward where you're from. Walk, don't run - and keep moving without hesitation.
We create music featuring the Tsugaru dialect. We produce songssuch as anthems and tracks designed to cheer people on that celebrate the Tsugaru region and uplift the Tsugarushu (the people of Tsugaru). We are a musical unit with roots in the Tsugaru region of Aomori Prefecture.
