  LiesiN is an artist redefining Japanese Heisei-era Gyaruo culture for the modern age. Born in 2000 and raised in Yokosuka, Japan, LiesiN grew up surrounded by intersecting street cultures such as Japanese hip-hop, gyaru, and youth culture. As a child, he was drawn to the fashion, music, and hairstyles of the 2000s Gyaruo scene. As the culture gradually faded with the changing times, it remained deeply rooted in his own sense of identity and became the foundation for his artistic expression. In 2021, he began pursuing music professionally with the aim of rebuilding that culture through a contemporary lens. Drawing from Eurobeat, Heisei-era J-pop, and other sounds that shaped his youth, LiesiN blends them with contemporary genres including Hyperpop, Hip-Hop, EDM, and Trance. Rather than simply reviving the past, he explores the idea of "what if Heisei-era Gyaruo culture had continued to evolve into the present day?" , developing his own vision of a "Reiwa Gyaruo" style. Beyond music, LiesiN applies the aesthetic sensibility developed through his background as a hairstylist to create his own visual world, working across video and 3D CGI. His signature style incorporates vintage 2000s Japanese fashion and hairstyles such as sujimori, reinterpreting them through a contemporary perspective. By connecting the memories and aesthetics of a fading era with the present, LiesiN aims to transform a once-nostalgic culture into something new and pass it on to the next generation.
