• GIVEN BY THE FLAMES

  Given by the flames is a gothic metal core band from Tokyo, Japan. The band was founded in 2013 by the actual singer Willian (at that time the former guitarist) who gave to the band its actual characteristic fingerprint in music but also in the visual aesthetic. At the beginning there were only Willian,Taboo and Yan (former drummer and bass guitarist) and then in 2017 , Diekey and Gedo (the 2 guitarists) joined the band. Now the actual members are Willian, Diekey, Gedo, Noi and Furuya. Even if metalcore is a minority genre in Japan, GBTF managed to play with many famous international bands such as Bad Omens, The world Alive, Betraying the martyrs, Within Destruction, Annisokay, Walking dead on broadway, Oceans ate Alaska and many more. Their first full album called 13 was published in 2019 which has a very heavy sound and it's cleary influenced by Motionless in White music. Now the band have just released a new EP called GRAVEYARD and this time they have tried to develop a more soft sound using also more clear voice to reach a bigger public. For the future, the band's priority is to become more known outside Japan and can do shows around the world especially in Europe and America.
