SOCIAL ABSTRACTION
Michael Van Dorpe, Alexandre Djalili, Axel Baronnat, Vincent Lambert
Through his veil of deceit, he hid his true intentions
She was frail and naïve, and did not sense his motion
Closing in quietly, he turned on the seduction
But truth then revealed, he was prepping for abduction
Love is pain, masquerading misconception
It empowers and frees, yet still leads to dejection
You’ll scream in agony and suffer the illusion
Revealing love that is but bitter imagination
It started when he was six, growing up in isolation
Aside from family, he’d had no interaction
And when his mother got ill, he turned to unhealthy distractions
He didn’t mean to be mean, the product of social abstraction
She was laughing at him, giving him some attention
This feeling was new, and he fell into infatuation
Everything that he felt, the product of misinterpretation
So he did a few lines to overcome his trepidation

SOCIAL ABSTRACTION tells the story of a boy lost between the present and the void of his past, he could be any of us. Shaped by loneliness, misunderstood by the world, he grows into a man torn between desire and destruction, between love and illusion. His heart beats to the rhythm of deceit, masking wounds with reckless intent. In the shadows of his mind, love distorts into something fragile, twisted by expectation and fear. He reaches for her, believing she is his salvation, but his touch is stained with doubt. She gives him warmth and kindness, a fleeting moment of connection but he sees more than what is real. His longing turns into obsession, his desire distorting reality. He wants to love her, but love slips through his fingers like sand, replaced by misunderstanding and silent betrayal. She is real, yet to him, she is an illusion, something he wants to possess to complete himself, though he is far from whole. In the end, sadness lingers between them like an unspoken truth. He cannot truly love her until he faces the fractures within himself.
The music mirrors his inner struggle, shifting between raw intensity and haunting sorrow. A mix of energies pulses through the song, mystery's force, love's fire, and despair's rage. The driving rhythm pulls the listener into waves of emotion, oscillating between beauty and emptiness, as if caught in an endless storm. The music seems to never stop, just like the relentless battle inside the protagonist's mind, a conflict with no resolution, an infernal loop where hope and darkness endlessly collide.
