Row the Haze

Life is like a boat wrapped in a haze.
You may "wriggle" and "squirm"
losing sight of the direction you should go.
Beyond that, a future full of hope may open up.
Each of us runs the boat quietly,.
Today, I wander through this wonderful world.
With a warm tune that accompanies us like a light...
With my own oar, I row the mist.

November 2020. Under the influence of the new coronavirus.
This album was recorded live with no audience at MANSIKKA antiques
in Ome, Tokyo.
The members are Sakanoshita Norimasa, a guitarist
who has musical career in various fields based on jazz idiom,
the sleeping beauty, an instrumental duo
favored by many musicians like Ryuichi Sakamoto,
and Atsushi Hamada, a bassist, and owner of MANSIKKA antiques.
With each session, time and even space are sharpened.
The tensioned atmosphere of the players are recorded in these six songs.

Our lives restricted by the pandemic are like being tossed into the haze.
The direction we should go is still uncertain.
We hope that this art form will be a guidepost for the new daily life.
