Nine Lives

KokoroNoMe

When I’ve come to the end of the Earth

and I’ve seen all that I’m worth, ashes to ashes

 and dirt to the dirt

All of my nine lives wasted on those days I spent trapped inside of that broken cage

Of my own design and creation that I call my sense of inferiority

that masks the arrogance, a cold veneer of indifference

so now I’m breaking out, shattered pieces scattered all over the ground

My self imposed exile, still have to go out in style

guess I’m here for a while comfortable inside of my cage

Look back on those days and wonder how did I make it

Who knew that the answer was just to get back up and try again.

Oh well you know that’s how it goes

It took five years for me to know

that some times you have to have to let go, and let yourself wake up again tomorrow

All of my nine lives wasted on those days I spent trapped inside of that broken cage

Of my own design and creation that I call my sense of inferiority

That masks the arrogance, a cold veneer of indifference

So now I’m breaking out, shattered pieces scattered all over the ground
