AYURIE is set to release a new single, Requiem of the Deep, on March 31, 2026.
This track portrays the inner conflict of a protagonist burdened by survivor's guilt, haunted by the agonizing thought that she failed to save her friend, and wounded by the cruel words of those around her. Even so, she continues to sing a prayer to the bottom of the sea for her deceased classmate.
Created under the concept of Cinematic Vocaloid, the song features Kasane Teto as the main vocalist. It opens with a powerful chorus led by a piano melody that evokes the depths of the ocean. As the piece unfolds, it expands into a full orchestral arrangement with strings and brass, creating the atmosphere of a movie soundtrack. The composition vividly captures the moment when the protagonist's quiet prayer turns into a sudden and overwhelming surge of emotion.
On the release date of March 31, the music video will premiere on YouTube and Niconico, while short-form videos are also scheduled for YouTube Shorts and TikTok. Supported by cinematic artwork that highlights the contrast between the beautiful water's surface and the dark abyss below, this release offers a deeply immersive audio and visual experience of the song's sorrowful yet beautiful world.
The unforgettable violence I endured at the age of five, having my skin torn away countless times. The despair brought on by five separate periods of bullying. I experienced school refusal, which was rare at the time, and lived my life in profound isolation. My hope is that those who struggle with the pain of simply living, just as I did back then, can breathe even a little easier. To channel all of that pain into music, I began composing on April 5, 2025.
