    hyou is a singer-songwriter based in Tokyo. Characterized by a transparent yet dry vocal style, their music blends elements of alternative and bedroom pop. hyou is also involved in self-producing their work, including jacket designs and music videos. In 2022, Hyou released their debut EP, "you don't take me anywhere," under the label friendship. Soon after its release, their music was featured in a promotional video for the fashion magazine 25ans, starring Yuko Araki, and was also added to H&M's official playlist, garnering attention both domestically and internationally. In 2024, hyou has been actively releasing music with various producers, including Cwondo (No Buses), paya (yutaicommunications), aryy (HEAVEN), and Koichiro Okunaka (emptei). Additionally, they were featured on aryy's EP "my room is my world" in the same year, solidifying their position as one of the most promising new-generation artists.
