  Dark, beautiful, and emotionally driven electronic music from Tokyo. Ryuw is a Tokyo-born producer and DJ blending UK bass, techno, hip-hop, and R&B into his own distinctive sound. Rooted in Tokyo's underground music culture, his productions combine powerful low-end, intricate rhythms, and atmospheric melodies, balancing raw club energy with emotional depth. Since beginning his career in 2012, Ryuw has explored the space between electronic music and Japanese hip-hop. In 2019, he collaborated with Foodman on "246," released through Diplo's label Mad Decent. He is also a member of the Japanese hip-hop collectives PROPERPEDIGREE and YENTOWN. Drawing inspiration from different cultures, personal experiences, and the city he calls home, Ryuw creates music that moves both the body and the emotions. His latest creative chapter begins with "Blue Yugen," featuring jazz trumpeter Asei Muraguchi. Blending improvised jazz with UK garage and bass-driven tech house, the track captures the euphoria and quiet melancholy of Tokyo at dawn. For Ryuw, music is where different influences collide, emotions come alive, and something new begins.
