When I toured Hokkaido on my motorcycle years ago, all I could see was a single road stretching endlessly into the distance between the blue sky and the green earth. When I pulled over, the only sound that reached my ears was the distant chirping of skylarks high above. Although much time has passed since then, I still find myself remembering that simple, unspoiled landscape. This song was born as I reached back into those memories.

Artist Profile

    Born in Tokyo in 1967. At age 15, inspired by New Music, acquired an acoustic guitar and a synthesizer, teaching themselves to sing while playing. In their early 20s, began taking vocal lessons and joined various civic choirs, primarily as a tenor. In their 50s, started taking electric guitar lessons from a professional musician. Currently performing live in Tokyo.
