My health has improved, and I'm gradually getting back to my housework, my work, and my cultural life (24 minutes of vocal training and songwriting), which had all been put on hold. I'm exhausted every day, but I'm enjoying it.
This poem expresses my feeling that while my wrists and legs ache and I'm so tired that I'm in bed like a log around 9 PM, I don't want to rest just yet. I wrote it hoping it would sound like a folk song from 60 years ago. Even though I'm completely exhausted, I am happy. I'm grateful that I can move again.
I write poetry about my everyday life with my wife, as we're both around 70 years old. Having lived for over 70 years, I've experienced countless moments where I thought, "This is the end." Yet, each time, I've managed to pick myself up and keep living. I've poured that journey into these lyrics. SUNOAI has composed the music and also provides the vocals. However, I also plan to distribute a karaoke version created with Filmora, where I'll sing the songs myself. The TuneCore Japan Support Team encouraged me with words like, "Even grandpas and grandmas can do it!" and gave me hope. Since TuneCore Japan will distribute my music, I'm entrusting it to them.
I've Got To Do What Needs To Be Done
