Fukuoka-based singer-songwriter Momoko Iwasaki releases her second single of 2025. This rockabilly-inspired pop anthem carries a touch of wistful melancholy, yet boldly steps forward with a sense of determination. A must-listen track for the heart of Golden Week.
Based in Fukuoka, rising singer-songwriter Momoko Iwasaki possesses a voice that reveals both strength and vulnerability, offering listeners a comforting presence that feels close to the heart. Her Japanese R&B masterpiece "Turn Signal" was released on 7inch vinyl in July 2024 and became a smash hit. The B-side features a grooveman Spot remix that elevates the original track into a more refined neo-soul rendition. In September, she appeared as a featured guest vocalist on "Ana - Jitsu wa ne.", the theme song for Music City Tenjin, Kyushu's largest urban music festival. She performed twice in Taiwan in November 2024 and March 2025. In February 2025, she formed a band under the name Momoko Iwasaki Foundation. Though still largely under the radar, she has been steadily gaining recognition among respected figures in the music industry.
