THE MOTEL
THE MOTEL is a five-piece alternative band based in Japan. Formed by childhood friends NAOTO (Gt) and RYO (Gt), the band's identity took shape with the addition of MOY (Vo / Gt / Key / Songwriting). In 2026, R1N (Dr) joined, followed by Leo (Ba), completing the current five-piece lineup. Rooted in British rock, THE MOTEL blends alternative rock, metal, post-hardcore, shoegaze, and electronica into a sound that crosses genre boundaries. Combining crushing riffs with delicate melodies, massive walls of sound with spacious atmospheres, the band continues to shape a sound that is uniquely their own. Moving between intensity and silence, chaos and beauty, THE MOTEL believes in expressing emotion rather than being defined by genre. Never confined by convention, THE MOTEL continues to chase the sound only they can create.
