This album is a guitar duo project with guitarist Hikaru Komatsu. We've been playing together since our university days in 2012, and this record captures the chemistry that's grown over more than a decade of performing side by side.
Both of us share a deep love for roots music, and we've been strongly influenced by country guitar legends such as Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed. Inspired by their classic albums "Me and Chet" and "Me and Jerry," we created our own tribute titled "Me and You."
The album features not only covers of Chet and Jerry's tunes, but also reinterpretations of various roots music pieces arranged in our own style. From bright and playful numbers to relaxed, laid-back tunes. All performed with just two acoustic guitars. This album showcases the musical "conversation" we've developed through years of playing together.
