From the very first note, Division signals a profound shift. Created over the course of nearly two years through a meticulous process of refinement, Sweet William's latest album is an entirely instrumental work that steps into a new realm of sound design, built around beatless compositions.

Modern yet timeless. A gentle, compelling groove and a cinematic sense of weightlessness. Across its ten tracks, the album unfolds through a remarkably wide range of approaches, moving freely between musical boundaries. Yet throughout, the familiar textures and tones unmistakably characteristic of Sweet William remain at its core-forming a stronger and more assured thread than ever before.

While retaining the musical instincts he has cultivated as a beatmaker, Sweet William reveals a new musical language that has emerged beyond them. With a sense of depth and space reminiscent of film scores and soundtracks, Division marks a significant expansion of the territory of his musical expression.

The album was mastered by Joe Joaquin. Jacket design and art direction were handled by designer Tatsuya Ariyama, with the photograph featured on the front cover by photographer Chieko Shiraishi.
