The first release by 1e1 from creative collective "Laastc" consist of art students from Tokyo and London. Through collaboration with Kazuki Muraoka (Adapt Records), Lovely Summer Chan, and MÖSHI (Laastc), 1e1 tried to push the boundaries of R&B and Hip-Hop music.

Artist Profile

    1e1(pronounced "iel") is a solo project by Dan Kubo, a musician and producer based in Tokyo. He creates music that combines mainly hip-hop and R&B, with sounds that use his own compositional techniques in acousmatic music, which is considered a branch of contemporary music. Each of his releases has garnered support from numerous artists. His first album, "Cryptobiosis," released in October 2020, was nominated for the Record of the Year by Seiho on the web media outlet Mastered. His activities are not limited to music production, but also include production in the art field, mainly graphics and installations, and he has collaborated with Licaxxx, Kazuki Muraoka, and others.
