On March 13, 2025, the day I was checking out of Hotel Monterey Okinawa, I was waiting for the Airport Shuttle Bus on National Route 58 in front of the hotel. While waiting, I made eye contact with a local kindergarten girl. She said "Pekorin-chu" and bowed her head, then calmly disappeared somewhere.

The word "Pekorin-chu" at that moment felt so pleasant. I didn't know what it meant, but it made me feel incredibly welcomed, happy, and joyful. Usually, I get motion sickness when I'm a passenger in a car, but after hearing "Pekorin-chu," my mind was filled with bright, calm, and gentle music, like a happy melody playing in my head. I felt such joy and happiness, and I knew I absolutely had to come back again, so I kept repeating "Pekorin-chu" in my mind.

(Actually, on the Airport Shuttle Bus, the "Kacha-shi" music played before the announcements for the stops, and at that moment, I happily raised my hands and danced! Other than that short time, the entire hour-plus journey was filled with "Pekorin-chu." Thanks to that, the ride back felt much shorter than the ride there.)
