This song, "Enoshima-ru - This Summer - (Original Song)," was inspired by Enoshima (Enoshima, Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture), a divine presence located in the center of the Shonan Coast that faces Sagami Bay and stretches from the western part of Kanagawa Prefecture (Yugawara and Odawara) to the Miura Peninsula in the east. The god of Enoshima is home to three goddesses enshrined at Enoshima Shrine, and is an island in the sea that is widely worshiped as the god of the sea, the god of water, and the god that is said to bring happiness and wealth to people.

Shonan Coast is home to a diverse range of people throughout the year, including tourists, people enjoying marine leisure activities, and people who love Shonan and live there.The scenery changes with the seasons, and the joy can be felt from the sea and sky of Shonan, and the beautiful coast and beaches that attract many people.

I, Katsuji Iijima, a songwriter and composer, was born in Midorigaoka, Meguro-ku, Tokyo in 1970 and am now 55 years old. I have had experience in dance and DJing since I was young, and perhaps as an extension of that, I began writing songs in earnest in 2024 to realize the joy of creating music.

Through this activity, I sincerely pray for world peace and sincerely hope that it will lead to a world without war (conflict) even a little.
