### R.S.K's *Winter* - A Story of Wounds, Family, and the Slow Thaw of the Heart

R.S.K's *Winter* is more than an album about a season. Across five songs, it reflects his own life - the wounds he has carried, his gratitude toward his parents, the distance that grew between him and someone important, and the family and happiness he has found along the way.

Here, "winter" takes on a deeper meaning. It represents pain that never completely disappeared, memories from the past, the coldest point of a relationship, and finally, the first signs of a heart beginning to thaw.

The album opens with **"Kimi no Burn,"** a song about the wounds we carry inside. Some wounds cannot be seen, and time does not always erase them. They can continue to burn quietly within us.

**"Hibikireta Te" (Cracked Hands)** is a letter of gratitude to his parents. As a child, R.S.K saw only his parents' cracked hands. As an adult, he came to understand those marks differently. They were traces of the days spent protecting and raising their children - a quiet record of love that he could only recognize with time.

In **"Fuyu ga Kuru Mae ni" (Before Winter Comes),** winter becomes a metaphor for the later years of his parents' lives. Before that time comes, R.S.K wants to tell them what he could not say when he was young: thank you for protecting me before I was ready to spread my wings.

Now, he has built a family of his own. He has met a woman as strong as his mother, has children, and is living a happy life. After everything he has struggled through, the song becomes a quiet message to his parents:

**"I made it this far. I'm still here. And I'm happy."**

Then comes **"Mafuyu no Yoru ni" (On a Midwinter Night),** the emotional coldest point of the album.

The important person in this song is intentionally left undefined. What matters is the feeling of losing closeness with someone who once meant so much - the hurt, the anger, the words left unsaid, and the fear of being hurt again.

That painful period becomes "midwinter," the coldest season of the heart.

Finally, **"Yukidoke" (Thaw)** offers something different.

It is not a song about a perfect reconciliation. The past remains, the wounds remain, and the fear is still there.

But one small thought begins to grow:

**"Maybe I'll go see them again."**

Not to force an apology or solve everything. Just to meet again.

Even if fear becomes too strong and the journey ends halfway, taking that first step may still be worth it.

The snow has not completely melted. But perhaps something that has been frozen for a long time is finally beginning to move.

*Winter* is deeply personal because these songs are rooted in R.S.K's own experiences and the path he has actually walked.

There are no easy answers here.

The past cannot be erased. Not every relationship is resolved. But life continues.

Sometimes moving forward does not mean forgetting. It means carrying everything you have been through and choosing to take one more step.

That is the heart of *Winter*.

And when the album ends, there is no promise that spring has arrived.

Only a quiet decision:

**"I'll keep walking."**
