Was it the fireflies that lit up, or the unspoken feelings?
mARIka's long-awaited 3rd single, "Firefly", is a lyrical love song that delicately depicts memories swaying in the summer twilight and unexpressed emotions. The time spent walking in step, casual conversation, the distance that cannot be touched. Each moment is likened to the faintly glowing fireflies. Her transparent vocals and light groove quietly awaken the "unspoken summer" that everyone keeps hidden deep within their hearts.
The coupling track, "Beyond the Frame", depicts the wavering of a woman whose heart is unexpectedly captured by someone she would never have fallen for before. The feelings of being drawn to someone despite her confusion reflect the lingering afterglow of love from a different angle than "Hotaru."
A faint fever of one summer continues to burn in memory. This is mARIka's heartfelt 3rd single, depicting this from beginning to end.
