Hoshinohagemi

  1. Hoshinohagemi

Space is indeed the final frontier, and reaching for the stars is surely evidence of a deep sense of hope. And hope is what we need most today, with the world as we know it undergoing widespread change and uncertainty. The title of this Japanese song means "Inspiration from the stars", and the lyrics speak of not wavering in one's dreams. "I don't want to be told that my dream is impossible" is a line from the song that sums up the Japanese spirit of doggedly pursuing one's vision or dream. Canadian artist Rufus Lin, based in Vancouver and Tokyo, often writes and records his own songs in Japanese, under the New JPOP label.
