> "Yasoya no Shirabe" ~ Piano & Vocal ~
> (Self-produced Album / 8 Tracks)
> "Yasoya" represents the number 88 in traditional Japanese-the exact number of keys on a standard acoustic piano (52 white, 36 black), spanning 7 and 1/4 octaves.
> From within these 88 keys, the emotion, sensibility, body, mind, and soul of Takeshi Soya flow directly through his fingertips. The resonating keys gathered here have naturally taken shape as 8 distinct tracks.
> In Japanese culture, "88" symbolizes the deep care and gratitude of "88 steps of hard work," as well as great fortune ("8" representing prosperity that broadens over time). It deeply connects to Japan's autumn harvest, rice farming, fresh tea, and long-standing traditions.
> In this season of harvest, where the golden rice ears bow gracefully, we convey the ancient wisdom, craftsmanship, and all six senses onto the "88" keys-carrying these timeless stories forward into eternity.
In loving memory of my mother, Katsu (passed away September 17, 2012) and my father, Isamu (passed away June 28, 2019).
