This work takes its title from the French word Relâche, meaning release or a day without performance, and portrays the fluctuating emotions of living in an unstable world as well as the conflict with one's past self.

Layered over a floating, atmospheric soundscape, the track weaves introspective lyrics with raw, personal sentiments, expressing the ongoing process of confronting oneself.

The song also features ISCLOUD, a member of IDÉAL*, whose presence adds new depth to the atmosphere and narrative of the track.

    Born in 2002 and based in Aichi, Japan, Mephisto is a rapper and event organizer whose music blends Alternative Hip-Hop with elements of ambient, experimental, and R&B. Through introspective lyricism, he explores themes of loneliness, inner conflict, and memory. Alongside his music, he curates the independent event series "MATRIX," contributing to the growth of an emerging underground scene outside Japan's major metropolitan centers. Following the release of his debut album Chaos in 2025, Mephisto released his EP RESIDUE in 2026.
