motorpool
motorpool is a five-piece indie pop band from Tokyo. Originally formed in 2018 as a male-female duo by Nishikawa and Yamazaki, the band relaunched in April 2026 with a new lineup after roughly seven years together. The project brings together five musicians - spanning singer-songwriters, composers, and session players - whose varied backgrounds and musical influences converge into a shared creative resonance.
