Aspiration

A long time ago, I used to sleep in a hospital bed while caring for my father.
I would wash the sheets and other things in the dark early morning, and hang them out to dry on the roof at 6am in winter when the sun was rising.
As I watched the morning sun gradually brighten on the freezing cold balcony, I would wonder how long this would last and hope he gets better soon.
The melody for "Aspiration" came to me like an overflowing waterfall, and I continued to work on it in my hospital room.
The completion of this magnificent piece was the very embodiment of my long-held "Aspiration".
