Artist Profile

  • BUG/VISION

BUG/VISION is a Japanese rock band. Built on a foundation of rock sound and catchy melodies, the band incorporates elements of various rock genres such as mixture rock, garage rock, alternative rock, and punk, creating a unique and distinctive style. The band was formed in 2022 by guitarist and vocalist RINTA KAWASAKI. The name BUG/VISION was inspired when RINTA KAWASAKI was watching news reports about the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine on television, and felt that the world was more bugged than he had imagined. At the time of their formation, BUG/VISION released their first album THE SOLID on digital platforms. Since then, the band has mainly focused on recording, live performances, and music video production. On June 30, 2023, they released their first EP Butterfly. On the same day, they held a one-man release show at U.F.O.CLUB in Higashi-Koenji, Tokyo. On April 9, 2024, due to differences in passion and direction among members, the drummer and bassist were dismissed from the band, effectively putting their live activities on hiatus. In July 2024, the single BUG/VISION was released digitally. On April 4, 2025, the band resumed live performances at Rokudemona Yoru in Shimokitazawa. The lineup at that time consisted of RINTA KAWASAKI (Gt/Vocals), No-Se (Gt), Hiroto Banzai (Dr), and Saho Shojo (Bass). In May 2025, the band released the single Placebo Refrain, along with its music video. In July 2025, BUG/VISION held a three-man live event titled Hizumi at Koenji DOM Studio, which sold out. On November 27, 2025, they released the single Swimming School. The music video was filmed at BumB Tokyo Sports Culture Center, where the band rented a swimming pool for the shoot despite being an independent act. On February 27, 2026, bassist Saho Shojo left the band. On March 11, 2026, Risa joined BUG/VISION as the new bassist.
